and they are the proper ways for the salvation of our Nation.

The alliance with Russia and the admission of the Communists

into our Kuomintang was only a policy of our late President to meet the then circumstances. In his testament he advised

us that we should ally ourselves with all races in the

World who have treated us with equality in order to continue our agitation vigorously. We shall ally with any race in

the World which treats us with equality, treat them as our

fast friends, and fight hand in hand with them. Our late

President did neither foresee or expect when he resolved upon his policy that any of them would make a sacrifice of our fellow-countrymen or turn China into a field for their experiments. Who are the originators of the trouble which has caused us endless regret? A principle is a formal thing while a policy is a mode of employing it. A form is rigid whereas usefulness implies adaptability. Therefore policy is changeable but principle admits of no change. All our Comrades should believe the principles of the "Three Aspects of Democracy" with all sincerity to the end, so that the early accomplishment of our National

Revolution may be secured.

I have been ordered to march to the North with my troops and my duty is to support our principles and to exterminate the reactionaries. Any of our comrades who have either been driven into wrong courses by cir- cumstances or the atmosphere that happened to surround them should at once radically repent themselves of their faults and declare their professions. I will treat all
